3 accused of drug crimes in Massachusetts

Facing criminal drug charges is a very serious matter. Three Massachusetts residents are currently accused of weapons and drug crimes after a recent sting operation by Springfield police. They face the possibility of serious punitive measures if they are convicted, including significant time spent behind bars.

The matter began when police claim they observed drug activity in a Springfield neighborhood. They arrested two men, both 29 years of age, in connection with that activity. Police were then able to obtain a search warrant for a residence within a couple of hours.

Once there, they seized an estimated 100 grams of marijuana, a few oxycodone tablets, two bags of cocaine and 2,400 bags of heroin. A scale, cash, packaging materials and a known cutting agent were also removed from the residence. Police also found two semi-automatic pistols in the home, one of which is believed to be stolen. Weapons and drugs were said to be recovered from the bedrooms of two children.

A female was later arrested, although it is unclear what her involvement is in the matter. There is no word on whether the individuals lived in the home, or how they were connected to the residence. As they prepare their response to these serious drug crimes and weapons charges, they must take care to make choices that are in line with their long-term interests. Working with a highly skilled Massachusetts criminal defense attorney is imperative to a favorable outcome. An attorney will carefully review the facts and evidence of the case before deciding on a course of action.
